What these tools are

Metrology Bench calculators apply published equations and constants (NIST, BIPM and the standards they name) to the inputs you provide. They are reference and teaching tools.

What they are not

• Not a calibration certificate or certified result.
• Not part of any laboratory’s scope of accreditation, including Custom Calibration’s.
• Not a validated system for your quality records. If you use them in an accredited process, validate them yourself; our test vectors are published to help.
• Not engineering, legal or professional advice.

Ranges and rounding

Each tool states its valid range and refuses inputs outside it. Results are calculated at full precision and rounded only for display, using the rule shown on each tool.

Standards

Standards summaries are written in our own words and may lag the current edition. Always confirm the current edition with the publisher.

AI assistants

When an AI assistant uses the MCP server, it receives our result, equation and source, but it may restate them incorrectly. Check important values on the tool page.
